This story by Mark Twain explores the saying: "The grass is always greener on the other side!" A poor boy and a prince swap places with unforeseen consequences. Through the story, the reader empathises with the boys, dilemma. They learn what it's like to live in the shoes of the other and their eyes are opened to a new reality. In the end, readers see how the boys take up their own lives again... but with lives enriched by the experience and the lasting friendship which has grown between them.
